Global Sports Week is putting 50 young sports leaders at the world’s top table.

We have launched a global search for the inaugural Young Sports Makers – 50 students, sports industry professionals, athletes, activists or volunteers under the age of 25 with a vision for the future of sports.

The successful applicants will be at the heart of the first Global Sports Week Paris – a major new platform connecting global leaders and disruptors around an agenda focussed on ‘making the future of sports.’

Global Sports Week has committed to put Gen Z at the centre of the event at the Louvre, recognising that the behaviours and expectations of new generations are driving fundamental shifts in the way sport is consumed and monetised.

The Young Sports Makers will be encouraged to interact directly in debates and discussions, challenging speakers expected to include global leaders of government, sports and business, alongside star names from sectors including fashion and entertainment.

The successful applicants will enjoy free access to the full programme of Global Sports Week, which will take place between February 5th– 7th 2020.

Applications can be made online at www.globalsportsweek.com/young-sports-makers/  until November 27th 2019.

Noemie Claret, Executive Director of Global Sports Week, said: “We’re looking for young people who are not only deeply involved in sports, but also have a real vision for sport’s role in society.

Those chosen will play an important role as ambassadors of a generation that is radically reshaping the sports economy before our eyes.

It’s why we’re determined to fully integrate younger generations in Global Sports Week –not just as bar staff or taking coats like so often, but on stage, with a voice and engaged in meaningful discussions.”
