Momentum is continuing to build towards Global Sports Week Paris with the news that the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) have come on board as Proud Supporters of the February 5th-7th event at the Louvre. The two global rightsholders join a list of commercial and institutional backers which already includes Founding Partners BPCE Group and the French Ministry of Sports, Proud Supporters UEFA and the City of Paris and High Patron Emmanuel Macron, President of France.

The IPC and EPCR both sit at the forefront of a shifting sports industry, which exists in ever closer dialogue with the world around it. The relationship will be the main focus of Global Sports Week Paris – sport’s new “rendez-vous” in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Host City, which will also host the final of the 2023 Rugby World Cup and is emerging as the new focal point of world sport.

“The IPC is delighted to be a proud supporter of Global Sports Week for Paris 2020. The eyes of the sporting world will be on Paris in 2024 and events such as this, bringing sport leaders from all around the world together, will be instrumental in sharing best practice and knowledge ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the city.” IPC PRESIDENT, ANDREW PARSONS.

“European club rugby tournaments are perfect examples of sport interacting with society and business, making a partnership with Global Sports Week extremely valuable and relevant. Interacting with diverse leaders from both sport and entertainment reflects our commitment to innovation and shaping the strongest possible future for EPCR.” EPCR PRESIDENT, VINCENT GAILLARD.
